Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will help the organization in documenting and maintaining statutory compliance for over 30 global legal entities for intercompany transactions and will enforce internal control over the balance sheet integrity for these accounts. The areas where the expertise lies is in ensuring that each intercompany transaction has legal and statutory basis that can withstand scrutiny from government agencies like tax auditors or other third-party regulators, posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing entries and reconciliations, preparing cash forecasting statement, supporting month end closing, preparing reports and financial audit support.

This role will be responsible for Intercompany Account Reconciliations which involves recording & reconciliation of transactions, validating intercompany invoices, assuring that transactional relationships are in compliance with transfer pricing agreements between entities and coordination with our regional finance leaders and corporate treasury. The Senior Accountant will reconcile intercompany Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable General ledger and Sub ledger balances and researching and highlighting any differences. The person in this role will propose correcting transactions and entries to pay or net/clear valid intercompany balances. This position will be responsible for intercompany reconciliations for all regions – Asia Pacific & Japan, EMEA and North America.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Expected interaction with own team, direct supervisor and global controlling
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Documenting and communicating the results


  • A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years experience, ideally in intercompany accounting gained from a multinational business, dealing with software products and consulting services
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience working in a global business environment is desired
  • Skilled in F&A Analytics in PTP / OTC / R2R / FP&A is desired
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
