Position Summary

The Vice President of Sales’ primary responsibility is leading and engaging with Account Executives to sell Syniti solutions to prospective and existing enterprise customers. This entails working with and maximizing the collaboration between field sales and Value Engineering, the product team, delivery and/or directly with the customer to introduce and position Syniti as their trusted data partner. You will build and leverage key relationships to create and develop opportunities. The primary focus of the role is to lead, motivate and inspire the field sales team in their daily efforts to grow Syniti one customer at a time. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned and successful seller ready to take on a leadership role or for an existing sales leader ready for a new challenge.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead in building a strong/healthy rolling 4 quarter pipeline for field sales
  • Drive consistent and sustained sales booking growth for assigned team
  • Responsible for assigned sales plan attainment as agreed to and communicated by the President, NA
  • Leads in strategic account planning, developing customer profiles, defining targeted programs and forecasting
  • Understand and effectively deliver Syniti’s value proposition, leading by example through demonstrated sales strategy, presentation and ultimately assisting in deal closure
  • Supports Account Executives in the building of relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned accounts
  • Manage sales cycles within existing accounts, along with targeted net new accounts with the goal of exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Contribute to sales budget preparation and regular sales forecast revisions
  • Direct and manage changes of sales objectives and quotas
  • Devise and implement sales strategies that are revenue and target oriented
  • Develop, share and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all key competitors and partners. Build and foster partner relationships to build pipeline and execute upon joint opportunities
  • Drive Account Executive performance through coaching and direct support at all stages of the sales cycle
  • Leverage sales enablement tools and resources to increase efficiency, ensure communication and assist in the reporting of sales performance
  • Work closely with marketing to raise awareness of Syniti’s solutions and to develop marketing materials needed by the Account Executives
  • Lead in the hiring and development of a diverse winning sales organization
  • Responsible for mentoring, inspiring and training team members to meet and exceed their performance and career path goals
  • Travel as required – up to 80%


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of successful enterprise sales experience with a proven history of quota attainment
  • Experience as a sales leader, either formally with direct reports or informally as a team lead
  • Experienced using SalesForce
  • A strong background and understanding of the technology used in targeted industries
  • Contacts with industry decision makers, SAP preferred
  • Experience with account planning and forecasting
  • Experience managing sales commission plans
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships that will cultivate business opportunities
  • Excellent negotiation skills and comfortable navigating C-level interactions and engaging with all stake-holders to propose value-based offerings
  • Proven to be proactive in understanding customer needs, priorities, challenges and respective markets/industries
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; both oral and written
  • Exposure to and understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies
  • Strong analytical ability, good judgment, capacity to think strategically
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including; a positive/can do attitude, active listening, teamwork and diplomacy
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Superior customer service skills with outstanding business acumen
  • Self-starter with the ability to self-motivate in fast paced environments
  • Strong drive for achieving results under pressure
